Donovan McNabb is available again.

The Minnesota Vikings waived the 13-year quarterback yesterday, giving him the opportunity to sign with another team for the stretch run in a parting coach Leslie Frazier described as mutual.

Frazier pushed for the Vikings to trade a sixth-round draft pick this summer to the Washington Redskins in exchange for McNabb. He wanted stability he believed McNabb would bring to the offense after the NFL lockout kept rookie Christian Ponder from practicing with the team or working with his coaches until training camp.

McNabb went 1-5 as a starter, threw for only four touchdowns, and completed just five passes of 25-plus yards.“This was the best decision for both parties,’’ Frazier said. “He was a great player and has been a great player for our league for a long, long time. Have a lot of affection and love for Donovan.’’

McNabb was benched in favor of Ponder in the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s game at Chicago Oct. 16 and hasn’t played since.

Progress for Manning

Peyton Manning will increase the intensity of his workouts though he has not yet been cleared to practice, a doctor said.

In a statement released by the Colts last night, Dr. Robert Watkins said the fusion performed on Manning’s neck has achieved “firm fixation.’’ When Manning last spoke to reporters about his health, a month ago, he was still waiting for that to take place.

“I am encouraged with what Doc had to say,’’ Manning said. “I am happy that I can increase my rehabilitation program. I am hopeful for continued progress in this next phase of my rehab.’’

Watkins said he expects Manning will continue to heal but wouldn’t guess when he might be able to take the field.

“There still is no timetable for Peyton’s return to practice, which is one of many steps in his expected return to game action. He is working hard on a rehabilitation program. His response to this plan in the future will dictate his return date.’’

McClain arrested

Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested on misdemeanor assault, firearms, and other charges after police said he fired a gun during a fight in his Alabama hometown of Decatur. McClain, 22, held a gun beside a man’s head during an altercation and the man begged him not to shoot, according to a statement released by Decatur police. McClain moved the gun but fired a round beside the man’s ear, according to the statement. Raiders coach Hue Jackson said McClain was in Alabama for the funeral of his grandfather. He said McClain would play Sunday at Miami “as far as I know.’’ . . . Criticizing the NFL Players Association for blocking tests for human growth hormone, the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency said the union’s objections are “not about science’’ and have “no substance.’’ The new labor contract that ended the NFL lockout in August included a provision for HGH testing as soon as this season - but only once the NFLPA approved the process. That hasn’t happened, in part because the NFLPA said it needs more information about the test itself.

Giants’ Fewell miffed

Perry Fewell accused some members of the Giants defense of quitting in the blowout loss to the Saints Monday and he vowed that will not happen again. The Giants defensive coordinator could not explain why the Giants played so poorly in the 49-24 thrashing that knocked New York out of first place in the NFC East. “The energy level, what we did, it baffled me,’’ he said. 2012 Grammy nominations: Adele, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters lead the musical pack

Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Bon Iver also up for nominations at music awards show

In hard numbers, Kanye West earned the most nominations for this year’s Grammys (a whopping 7).

But in the categories that count — Album, Song and Record of the Year — it’s two other stars who have a chance to sweep.

To the surprise of no one, the year’s biggest selling artist, Adele, bagged nods in all the top slots: Song and Record for her smash “Rolling In The Deep,” and Album for her second CD, “21.”

The British singer earned six nods in all.

She’ll go head to head with a less obvious, or favored, candidate: Bruno Mars, who tied her tally with six bids, including the Record and Song slots for “Grenade,” and Album for his debut, “Doo-Wops and Hooligans.”

Both stars represent a resurgence of pure singing chops in an age of theatrics and gimmickry.

The Foo Fighters — seen by many as the last popular gasp for respected rock — also got six nods (though just one in a top category: Album of the Year).

Rapper Lil Wayne and the dance music producer Skrillex, each got five, all in lesser genre slots. Similarly, West’s large tally includes just one in a major category: Song of the Year for “All Of The Lights,” from his album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

Lady Gaga, a star expected to have as high a profile as Adele, only has one chance to compete in a pivotal slot: Album for “Born This Way.”

Adele bagged six Grammy nominations total.

Other artists vying for the most prized awards include the neo-folk act Mumford & Songs, whose “The Cave” is up for Record and Song of the year, Katy Perry, with a bid in the Record slot for “Firework,” Rihanna, who’s in Album contention for “Loud,” and this year’s left-field choice, Bon Iver, nominated for both Record and Song with “Holocene.”

Bon Iver, this year’s token hipster group, also has a shot as Best New Artist (though it’s for their second CD). In that lusted-after category, they’ll square off against country’s The Band Perry, dance king Skrillex, rapper-singer J. Cole and the odds-on favorite to win — sight gag and New Yorker Nicki Minaj. The most glaring oversight in this category was breakout alterna-band Foster The People.

This year’s Grammys has earned considerable controversy for hacking down its list of over 100 categories to feature just 78, at the expense of many Latin artists.

You can finally do something using your outdated LCD monitor which you have lying around in your attic. Switch it right into an incredible secret agent monitor!   Find your old monitor, which you are willing to sacrifice.

 

Remove the plastic frame by unscrewing all the screws on the back. 

Cut the polarized film, "Most LCD monitors have two films on the glass - a polarized one to filter out the light you are not supposed to see, and a frosted anti-glare film. The anti-glare film we don't need, the polarized one we do - it is used for the glasses, also remember the orientation."

Clean the film adhesive

Before even making the glasses, you can test the monitor with the polarized film!

Cut the lenses out of polarized film.

Finally assemble the glasses and you are ready for some fun!

League Of Legends

League of Legends is a strategy game , right now LoL is on Season two, also it have been released for 2 years since the beta.
The popular map Summoners Rift is often playd on, It's two teams with 5 players each team.
You will go out on one "lane" or you could choose to jungle, there you will farm (Kill minions/monsters) to get money for the items you'll need. The max level in game is 18 while your account could be level 30, earn levels to unlock new spells and mastery points. After each game if you have not left the game you will get money (Influense points) that could be spend on Runes or Champions.
With Riot points (Real money) you can buy Champions for a small amount, rune pages, skins and bundles.
Average games last up to 40~ minutes, your team will push to the other teams "Nexus" base and destroy it to win, and there is 3 lanes TOP, MID and BOTTOM lane with 3 towers each lane, beside Nexus there is 2 towers and you got your own fountain where you will spawn.

Star Wars sounds really childish but this is like World of Warcraft but STAR WARS !
I requested for the Beta and EA confirms that Star Wars: The Old Republic won't hit the market until after March 31,2011 !

In my opinion I think the game is going to be successfull, I love this kind of game and there is lots of classes to choose between.
There is PVP mode, raiding, quests, crafting and transport actions.

I will come back when the beta is released !
